Gov. Mitt Romney would veto the DREAM Act

This week, Mitt Romney just won the Republican nomination in Iowa and he is the clear frontrunner for the national nomination.  Instead of running on sound immigration policy, he just announced that he would veto the DREAM Act which has huge support all over the country.

Worse, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a Latina DREAM Act supporter has endorsed him. Let's tell her that Florida's Latinos and DREAM Act supporters demand that she revoke her endorsement immediately.  No one is going to get Latino votes in one of the biggest Latino states by being against immigrant youth and families. Take a moment to sign our petition to Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen asking her to revoke her endorsement.

The Message

The following will be sent to Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen asking her to revoke her endorsement to Gov. Mitt Romney:

Dear Representive Ileana Ros-Lehtinen,

Although we are grateful for your support for the DREAM Act, we ask you to revoke your endorsement of Governor Mitt Romney.  He recently pledged to veto it if he became president. You have been a champion for DREAM Act students and their families.  We ask you to take this bold step to protect the future of Florida and approximitantly 192,000 undocumented Americans in our state.

By revoking your support to Govenor Mitt Romney's candidacy you will send a clear message that immigrant youth and families from Florida have your support.
