Ten states need Spanish language health insurance exchanges

Thanks to the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare"), millions are gaining access to quality health care -- but some Latinos may be left behind.

Ten states with more than 1.2 million eligible uninsured Latinos have failed to roll out Spanish language versions of the websites that allow people to make informed decisions about and purchase health insurance.

Please ask the governors of these states to implement Spanish language health insurance websites immediately.

The Message

Dear Governor,

I'm writing to encourage you to implement a Spanish language health care website for the Hispanic residents of your state. Your state is one of only ten that does not offer detailed information about the Affordable Care Act and the insurance options available to residents in Spanish.

1.2 million eligible uninsured Latinos live in these states -- this is no minor population. Not having a Spanish language site is an unacceptable barrier to access.

I urge you to immediately offer your state's Affordable Care Act website in Spanish.
